Mansions on Fifth

I had the pleasure of performing today for brunch at the “Mansions on Fifth”. Nice piano, great environment, great food, and really nice people running the establishment. They are taking their time and easing into live music, which can be a very wise move for a new venue. Their press release for live music says: “The Mansions on Fifth, a luxury hotel located on what was once known as Millionaire’s Row in Pittsburgh’s Shadyside neighborhood, has announced three new live music series’: The Mansions Oak Room Tuesday Duo Series, Grand Hall Concert Series and Sunday Brunch Series.”

“The Mansions on Fifth is excited to open our doors for the community to enjoy beautifully composed live music,” said May Del Brady, owner of Mansions on Fifth. “The Oak Room and Grand Hall are a stunning backdrop for the vocal and instrumental talent we are showcasing.”

The Oak Room Tuesday Duo Series features music on the second Tuesday of each month. The Duo Series launched in September with Ms. Etta Cox and features pianists and guitarists along with some of the region’s finest vocalists. The Oak Room features a wonderful light menu with signature cocktails, wine, spirits and ports. The Duo Series is free, however, reservations are required. Valet parking.

The Grand Hall Concert Series is held on the fourth Tuesday of each month. Launching the series on Tuesday, October 23 is Pittsburgh’s own Joe Negri with You in the Night in the Music. This unique concert setting offers an intimate atmosphere where artists engage with the listener and the listener with the artist. The $30 fee includes small plates, dessert and the perfect opportunity to mingle with the artists. Reservations required. Valet parking.

The Mansions on Fifth Sunday Brunch Series features a spectacular brunch accompanied by extraordinary music. It was launched in September by Tania Grubbs, a talented vocalist who also serves as Music Director for the Mansions on Fifth, accompanied by Daniel May on piano. Sunday Brunch is held once a month with favorites such as French toast and pancakes with unique sauces and syrups, eggs with gourmet cheeses and herbs, meats and fishes carved to order, and fresh salads made with local ingredients. Cost is $38 per person, $15 per child 3 – 10 years, free for children 2 and under. Reservations required. Valet parking.

The Mansions on Fifth are located at 5105 Fifth Ave. in Shadyside, near the corner of Fifth and Amberson.
